The PdT method
The PdT method, born from the encounter between philosophical and clinical thought, image, narration and listening, directs the work toward the construction of new personal meanings through photographs.
Photography, more than a simple image to observe, is an activator capable of triggering new narratives based on emotions, memories, associations, reflective processes and representations that it may evoke in the observer.
The approach considers the individual self as an ever-evolving narrative that takes shape and is continuously updated also through dialogue, listening, and shared and communicable experience.
Narrative phototherapy
Images can facilitate access to emotional content, experiences and memories that may be difficult to reach through verbal language alone.
Telling stories means giving meaning to experience, integrating fragments of life and building new possibilities for self-understanding.
Meaning emerges within an authentic, protected relationship oriented toward listening to subjectivity.
